We've Gone Carbon Neutral with Our Cloud Services!

At Amity, we are committed to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainable business practices. To achieve a net-zero carbon footprint for our cloud service operations, we have offset our carbon emission through Terrapass, a leading provider of carbon offsetting solutions. These offsets are verified by a third-party auditing firm and represent a reduction in emissions from renewable energy projects, energy efficiency programs, and other sustainable initiatives. By offsetting these emissions, Amity has neutralized its carbon footprint from cloud services and demonstrated its commitment to sustainability.

LiveGetMyFollowInfo / LiveGetFollowInfo for TypeScript SDK

Introducing Live Object for follow feature, a new feature that grants you real-time access to your followers and following counts, without the need for tiresome manual refreshes or updates. With LiveGetMyFollowInfo and LiveGetFollowInfo, staying up-to-date with your users' social connections has never been more effortless or seamless!

  • LiveGetMyFollowInfo: With this update, you'll be able to see changes to your own follower and following counts in real-time! No more need to manually refresh or update the object. The Live Object takes care of it all, keeping you in the loop with the latest information about your social interactions.
  • LiveGetFollowInfo: Not only does the Live Object provide real-time updates for your own counts, but it also includes additional data, such as the follow status between the target user and the SDK method caller. This means you'll have even more insights into your user's social relationships, allowing you to tailor your app's features and functionalities accordingly.

Reaction’s details for post, comments and subpost from ASC Console

We are excited to introduce a new feature that brings enhanced insights to the world of post reactions. Previously, when navigating to a post with reactions on our console, you can view the reaction count for each post; the details and types of reactions made by customers were not readily available. But not anymore!

With our latest update, every customer now has access to a comprehensive view on the console, providing detailed information about the types and exact count of reactions made by users for each post. This valuable feature offers a wealth of benefits.

For administrators and moderators, knowing who reacted to a post or comment is essential for effective content moderation, user management, community building, and analytics. It enables you to identify potential issues, active users, influencers, and engaged community members. These insights empower you to make informed, data-driven decisions, you will see:

  • Customer administrators will have access to a comprehensive display of reaction details. You'll be able to see the number of reaction types and the corresponding count of users who have reacted to each type. 
  • Customer administrators can now access a user list for each reaction type. This list will include the users' unique identifiers (user ID) and their display names, making it easier than ever to identify and connect with the users who have reacted to specific posts and comments.

We have an important announcement! The integration of the advanced Single Sign-On (SSO) Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) technology into our system! This seamless integration will fortify our defenses against potential security threats, ensuring a more secure environment. By implementing SSO SAML, users will no longer need to manually enter their credentials, reducing the risk of errors or password-related attacks. Instead, they can effortlessly access the console through our user-friendly portal with just one authentication event. Additional Marker Services to Chat SDK

We are thrilled with the launch of additional Marker Services, a vital complement to our Chat SDK. Recognizing the importance of communication trends, ASC understands that no chat application is truly complete without this essential feature.

With Marker Services, we address a crucial aspect of virtual communication. Users now have the ability to acknowledge whether their messages have been delivered or read. This seemingly small yet significant feature has become an integral part of today's communication landscape.

With this new feature you will be able to access the following:

  • List of users to whom the content has been delivered to
  • List of users who read the content
  • Delivered count for a message in a group channel
  • Read count for a message in a group channel
  • Mark channel as read* 

For Real Time Events (RTE):

  • RTE for read/delivered count for a message in a group channel
  • RTE for message delivered an update
  • RTE for message read an update

*Please note that currently it is not possible to mark all channels as read at once.
